All Hearts On Deck Block Party Challenge
HPAC Success Alert!
HPAC swimmers competed in the All Hearts On Deck Block Party Challenge back in February and the results are outstanding!
Block Party Swim Meets are a new concept USA Swimming is piloting. Block Party meets are easy to run, sanction, and FAST. The Block Party Meet we ran for the All Hearts Challenge occurred during practice time and we used the opportunity to "Scratch Off" some events that swimmers hadn't done before or in a while.
The challenge for February was to swim a 50 and 100 Backstroke and get an aggregate time for a 150 Backstroke. Everyone who competed successfully in both events has their time listed on the leaderboard HERE, under All Hearts On Deck. We want to give a special shoutout to our HPAC swimmers who finished in the top 8 of their age group.

HPAC Swimmers Compete at State Championship Meets!
Our swimmers have made us very proud with their exceptional performances at the three recent Illinois Swimming championship meets: Senior Championships, Age Group Championships, and 10 and Under Championships. Their dedication and hard work were on full display over the past two weekends and the whole season. We would like to take a moment to shout out those swimmers who excelled at our State Championships.
Senior Championships:
We had 5 swimmers compete at the 2025 SC Illinois Senior Championships. Andrew Blauer, Emily Fraser, Marisa Miller, Kendall Phillips, and Apple Wojtowicz all swam for HPAC at the UIC Flames Natatorium. Andrew competed in 7 events and incredibly came back for finals in all 7 events. Andrew set 4 new HPAC team records last weekend! He improved his existing records in the 100 Breast, 200 Fly, and 200 IM, and set a new team record in the 100 Fly. Emily Fraser competed in all three distance freestyle events and came back for finals in the 500 Freestyle where she dropped time to finish 20th in a 5:12.71. Marisa and Kendall both swam 1 event each, the 100 Fly and 50 Free, respectively. Apple competed in 5 events, making finals in both the 50 and the 200 Breast, finishing 15th and 22nd.
Lots of time was dropped last weekend! Great job to all our Senior Champs swimmers!
10 & Under Championships:
We had 3 swimmers compete at the inaugural 10 and Under Championship meet at Glenbrook North High School, Luke Mucha, Ray Ryser, and Sebastian Trybus. This meet was created as a way for our youngest swimmers to get a chance to perform at the highest level at the end of the season and wow they took that opportunity! Luke and Ray both competed in their first state meet. Luke swam the 50 Freestyle after achieving his cut at the Regional Championship. Ray swam both the 50 Free and 50 Back and dropped big time in both events! Sebastian competed in a full meet (6 events) and podiumed in the 100 (8th), 200 (7th), and 500 Free (5th), and finished 13th in the 50 Free and 17th in the 100 Back.
Big congratulations to all three of these boys for competing in this new event!
Age Group Championships:
We had 5 swimmers compete at the Illinois Swimming Age Group Championships at FMC Natatorium, Matthew Blauer, Sam Moreau-Krone, Dylan Mucha, Alexandra Phillips, and Ryder Strickland. We had big swims and exciting races for all of our swimmers this past weekend. Matthew and Sam competed in both the 50 and the 100 Back after making their state cuts at the Regional Championship meet. Sam also competed in the 200 Back and dropped time to go 2:11.88. Dylan had 5 events and swam on all 4 days of the meet, he dropped lots of time throughout the weekend. Dylan swam in finals for 2 events, the 100 and 200 Breast. He finished 12th in the 200 with a 2:39.06 and 17th in the 100 with a 1:13.79. Alexandra swam 5 events this weekend and came back for finals in the 50 Free. She finished 18th with a best time of 26.84. Alexandra also broke a minute for the first time in her 100 Free (59.89) finishing 21st. Ryder swam the 200 Free and the 200 Fly dropping time in both. Ryder came into to Champs as the Regional Champs winner for the 200 fly and dropped enough time to get his state cut for the summer and finish 27th.
Really good job to all our age group stars!
We are so proud of every swimmer and look forward to seeing more of you join us for our Championship Meets in the summer.
Go HPAC!
Stronger Together!
